Advent calendar:

There are just a few days lefts of our advent calendar and to continue spreading Christmas cheer as we countdown to the big day, we wanted to share all of the wonderful designs created for this year’s Christmas card competition.

At the beginning of December we launched our annual Christmas card competition to give a member of our community the opportunity to design our force Christmas card. Last week we revealed our winner and we were pleased to announce our winning design was created by four-year-old William Smith from Doncaster.

Here is a picture of William’s design:

It was a very tough competition and we loved all of the designs submitted.

To showcase the talent we have our in our communities we’ve created a short video of all the entries.

You can watch this video here and we hope you can spot your design!

We hope you all enjoyed taking part in our competition and we would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas!

This week in focus:

Our 2021 #NoneForTheRoad Christmas drink and drug drive campaign alongside our partners at @SYSaferRoads is still running strongly.

Over the past two weeks 395 breath tests were undertaken with nine blowing positive. Of those - three were following a collision.

Don’t ruin yours or others Christmas’ by getting behind the wheel following a night out.

It's also important to remember you could still be over the limit the morning after, so please think twice before driving and make alternative arrangement if you know you have plans!

In case you missed it:

It’s the Christmas holidays and we are sure you will have all sorts of festive activities planned as you continue the countdown to the big day. If you need an extra activity to add to your plans, why not download our colouring sheet here.
