Stolen vehicle recovered within a few hours

A vehicle was stolen from an address in Thorne yesterday morning and just a few hours later was recovered in Moorends.

It was located during a joint community patrol with colleagues from Doncaster council - good partnership working and a great result with the vehicle now recovered.

We would encourage all vehicle owners to help protect their vehicles by:

·  Always locking doors and closing windows

·  Removing keys from the vehicle, even for short periods

·  Parking in well-lit or secure area's where possible

·  Consider additional security such as steering locks, alarms or trackers

·  Avoiding leaving valuable tools or equipment on display
