Cannabis farm located

On Friday morning, officers executed a warrant at a property on North Eastern road in Thorne where a sophisticated cannabis cultivation was discovered. 

Around 120 cannabis plants were located and have since been seized and destroyed.

Our enquiries are ongoing to identify and locate those responsible.

Cannabis cultivation is far from a victimless crime. It is often linked to organised criminality and can bring significant risks to local communities, including electricity theft, fire hazards, anti-social behaviour and the exploitation of vulnerable people. 

These illegal operations can have a real impact on the neighbourhoods where they are established.
