On Wednesday, officers from your Doncaster East neighbourhood policing team were out and about across Stainforth and Barnby Dun carrying out a proactive day of action focused on keeping our roads and neighbourhoods safe.
A key priority was road safety, with officers targeting those putting others at risk by:
During the operation, five vehicles were seized for having no insurance. Each driver will be reported on summons and will have their day in court.
We also carried out school safety and parking patrols, ensuring routes around our schools remain safe for children, parents, and staff. Please continue to park responsibly and considerately.
Alongside this, officers spent time engaging with residents and local business owners, discussing concerns around anti-social behaviour (ASB) and working together on long-term solutions. As always, we were joined by colleagues from Doncaster Council East Area Team, strengthening our joint approach to community safety.
As part of ongoing work to tackle ASB, two youths under the age of 16 were formally issued with Acceptable Behaviour Contracts (ABCs) due to their continued anti-social behaviour and general conduct within the Stainforth community.
Speed Enforcement – Church Road, Barnby Dun Officers conducted a speeding operation following community concerns:
All offending drivers were stopped and advised, which was deemed the most appropriate course of action on this occasion.
Tackling Cross-Border Crime As part of ongoing work to disrupt criminal activity, officers located and seized a van linked to commercial crime, demonstrating our commitment to tackling offences that impact businesses across borders.
Thank you to everyone who spoke with us during the day. Your information and support continue to make a real difference.
