Armthorpe - Warrant Executed

This afternoon Doncaster East Neighbourhood Officers have executed a warrant at an address in Armthorpe in relation to the use and supply of drugs.

On entering the property Officers made their way to an upstairs flat where they found two men enjoying a relaxing Sunday afternoon in front of the TV.  Neither of them were the tenant of the flat was and they seemed to find it difficult to explain why they were in the property.

Officers began to search the flat, when they found another man hiding behind the living room door. This was in fact the tenant and he was hiding as he had failed to attend court twice recently. 

The rest of the property was searched and although we didn't find any drugs, we did find six new Fire extinguishes. 

Not the usual sort of thing to keep in your bedroom, so we did some checks and established they had been stolen from Sainsbury's Edenthorpe earlier this month. 

The investigation will continue but the extinguishers have now been returned to Sainsburys.

One male was arrested for Failing to attend Court, and will remain in custody until the morning, where he will make his overdue court appearance.
