Speeding operation - Stainforth and Barnby Dun

Following concerns raised from members of the Stainforth and Barnby Dun community we have undertaken further speeding operations in area's of high concern.

On 6th January, we conducted a speeding operation on Kirton Lane in Stainforth, the speed limit is 30mph - we monitored 113 vehicles, eight drivers were found to be contravening the speed limit.

On 16th January, we conducted a further speeding operation on Armthorpe Lane in Barnby Dun, the speed limit is 40mph - we monitored 63 vehicles, thirteen drivers were found to be contravening the speed limit.

Those drivers who contravened the speed limit will soon be hearing from our central ticket office.

When driving, a few miles per hour can mean the difference between life and death. 

The faster someone drives, the less time they have to stop if something unexpected happens.
