Speeding Operations

Over the past week we have conducted a number of speeding operations in and around Thorne and Moorends following speeding concerns from residents who attend our regular community engagement meetings.

We take speeding concerns seriously and when time allows, focus on those areas alongside attending our regular hotspots.

On South End in Thorne 30 vehicles were monitored, 4 drivers were dealt with for contravening the 20mph speed limit.

On Union Road in Thorne a further 20 vehicles were monitored, 2 drivers were dealt with for contravening the 20mph speed limit.

On Coulman Road in Thorne 40 vehicles were monitored, 3 drivers were dealt with for contravening the 30mph speed limit. 

We will continue conducting regular speed checks in and around the East of Doncaster and ask that you continue to report your speeding concerns to us.
