The foodbanks have been offered some funding from Household Support Fund. As a requirement of that funding we have asked the foodbanks to hold one advice and guidance sessions per quarter. Both Moorends Miner’s Welfare and Thorne and Moorends Foodbank have been successful with this funding. That will mean each foodbank will hold 3 advice and guidance sessions, (6 altogether) this is NOT just for residents that attend the foodbank we would like to reach the wider community. They will be promoted to the wider community through social media etc. The sessions will be for any residents to attend to seek advice and guidance from different services. I have worked with the foodbank to put dates in place. 

The first date is Thursday 19th June 09:30-11:30 at Thorne and Moorends Foodbank. Thorne Rugby Club, Church Balk, Thorne, Doncaster, DN8 5BU. This date is open to residents in our wider community.
