CADETS: South Yorkshire volunteer police cadets represent the force at community events and participate in a variety of activities and formal training, as well as learning about various roles within the police.

CADET RECRUITMENT IS NOW OPEN UNTIL 30TH APRIL 2024

Entry requirements:

Applicants must be aged 15 - 17 (born between 1 June 2007 and 31 August 2009)

Applicants must live in South Yorkshire

Enthusiasm and commitment are essential

No formal academic qualifications needed

Dedication to attend one evening per week is required (Wednesday's Term Time 18:30 – 20:00)

A smart appearance is required in line with the South Yorkshire Police dress code.
