A further speeding operation took place this morning on South End in Thorne.

Twelve vehicles were stopped with the drivers being advised with regards to their speed and manner of driving.

The top speed recorded this morning was 47mph. The speed limit is 20mph.

This evening, officers from your Doncaster East neighbourhood policing team have been on South End and Coulman road in Thorne and Marshland road in Moorends due to reports of speeding vehicles, numerous vehicles were stopped and again the drivers of each vehicle were advised.

Going forward we are going to start issuing traffic reports (tickets) to those drivers that contravene the speed limit. 

When driving, a few miles per hour can mean the difference between life and death. The faster someone drives, the less time they have to stop if something unexpected happens.
