We are aware that a post has been published on social media stating a property in Hoyland town centre has been designated asylum seeker accommodation. 

Barnsley Council have checked this information with the Home Office and confirmed this is wholly inaccurate.

Barnsley Council have also contacted the publisher of the information to make them aware of the facts.
